From the notices: 23rd July 2017

Today we say farewell and thank you to Grace Bartlett, who’s been working in so many lively ways with our young people in the Church and Circuit. We’ll miss you, Grace, and hope that you’ll find fulfilment as you move on in your life.

We warmly welcome members of the Chinese Church at Bowthorpe, who are sharing our Church on Sunday afternoons for several months while structural alterations are made to their premises.

Our annual Church Walk takes place this afternoon, meeting at Morley Methodist Chapel for a 3.00 pm start. A service conducted by Revd Jacqui Horton will follow at 4.00 pm, with tea afterwards. No evening service at Chapel Field Rd.

The Circuit Methodist Women in Britain have arranged a light-hearted Quiz this Thursday, 27 July. Arrange a team of 6 – 8 in advance or join a team when you arrive at 7.00 for a 7.30 pm start, and bring a contribution to the Bring and Share Finger Buffet. The cost, in aid of World Mission, is £5.00. Let Margaret Snelling know today if you intend to come. The Bignold School car park will be available.

Pauline Mann is compiling our Church Calendar for 2017/8 and would like information about dates for inclusion in the calendar and any changes to email or postal addresses and telephone numbers by the end of July.

The July edition of Contact, our Church magazine, is out now. Do ask the Pew Stewards for your copy.

Please note: there will be no Crèche or Junior Church in August or the first Sunday in September. They will both resume on Sunday 10 September.

You’re invited to join with other churches in praying this week for Norwich Central Baptist Church and for the nightclubs in our city.

Have you heard God’s voice; has your heart been stirred?

Are you still prepared to follow?

Have you made a choice to remain and serve

though the way be rough and narrow?

In your city streets will you be God’s heart?

Will you listen to the voiceless?

Will you stop and eat, and when friendships start,

will you share your faith with the faithless?

We will walk the path that will cost us much

and embrace the pain and sorrow.

We will trust in One who entrusts to us

the disciples of tomorrow.
