During Fair Trade Fortnight, 25 February – 11 March, Traidcraft is running a campaign called Hidden Entrepreneurs. Donations to Traidcraft Exchange will help to train and support people who are entrepreneurs in poor countries and need help to develop their ideas and businesses. UK Aid will match funding for this scheme, doubling the amount donated. We will be holding a Traidcraft Stall with information and donation boxes this Saturday 3 March, from 9.30 to 12.00 noon, alongside our normal Saturday coffee morning. Please call in and find out more about Traidcraft’s work and range of goods. Our usual stall will be in the Hall after morning service on Sunday 11 March as well, at which you can buy ‘The Real Easter Eggs’.
Throughout Lent Self-Denial Envelopes will be available in the pews to enable us to deny ourselves something we enjoy and in its place make a gift for the work and witness of the World Church in some of the poorest countries in the world. Our mission partners are engaged in medical work, education, pastoral and social care, theological training and redevelopment work
The February edition of Contact, our Church magazine, is out now. Do ask the Pew Stewards for your copy. The March edition will be published next Sunday, 4 March
