We continue to mourn the death of Lynette Collier, a faithful member of our Church who had lived with illness for so long but was always determined and uncomplaining. Her funeral will take place at St Faith’s Crematorium at 11.00 am this Friday, 5 April, followed by a Service of Thanksgiving for her life at Chapel Field Road. We hold her family in our thoughts and prayers.
Following the cyclone in Malawi, Zimbabwe and Mozambique thousands of people are stranded by catastrophic flooding, clinging to roofs or stuck in trees. Aid workers in Mozambique report there are only two or three days of clean water left in the devastated city of Beira. The Disasters Emergency Committee say that their members are working closely with national organisations to deliver emergency shelter kits, food, water purification tablets and medical help. Please help if you can; there will be a retiring collection after the service. If you wish to Gift Aid your donation, please place it in one of the yellow envelopes and write DEC on it.
Look out for your copy of the April edition of Contact, our Church magazine, which is out today. Items for the May edition should be with Pauline Mann by 21 April.
On Saturday 13 April at 7.30 pm the Norwich Singers will present their Spring Concert at Chapel Field Road. The programme will include Olivet to Calvary and excerpts from Messiah. Admission, £8.00, will include a finger buffet.
If you would like to attend the Seder Meal on Maundy Thursday, 18 April at 7.00 pm, please sign the list in the Church Centre.
There is also a list in the Church Centre for you to sign if you are going to join in the Easter Breakfast at 9.00 am on Easter Day, 21 April.
Easter will soon be here! To decorate the Church any offers of flowers, donations of money and help in any way will be very much appreciated. Please see Evelyn Lovatt or Maureen Brookman.

Mary, nursing mother, cradling with your arm,
shield your helpless baby from the cruel world’s harm.
Mary, in your quietness, old and tired and wise,
celebrate the glory shining from the skies.
