From the Notices: 21st April 2019

 We are sad to hear of the death of Brian Sargent. In many ways he and Jean inspired the musical life of our Church and his organ voluntaries were brilliant. Our thoughts and prayers are with Gavin. His Committal will be at Earlham Crematorium at 2.00 pm on Thursday 2 May, followed by a Celebration Service and refreshments at 3.00 pm in the Hall at Chapel Field Road, at which people will be speaking about their memories of him; you will be welcome to share your memories too.

 Items for the May edition of Contact should be with Pauline Mann today.

 Can you help to distribute our Easter flowers to housebound people tomorrow, Easter Monday, from 10.30 am, so that they can share in our celebration? Margaret Snelling would be pleased to hear from you today.

 Easter Offering envelopes are in the pews today. Your gift will be appreciated; the bookmark in the envelope explains where the money goes.

 “Come and join the celebration, it’s a very special day!” Cromwell House will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary this Saturday, 27 April, at 10.30 am and you are all cordially invited to share it with them. There will be refreshments, live music, garden games, ’Little Visitors’, a barbeque and lots of fun.

 Church Family Event: A Spring Concert will be held on Thursday, 2 May at 7.30 pm, with special guests, the Wymondham Ukulele Group. Admission, £6.00, includes a finger buffet. Proceeds will go to Cameo’s chosen charity this year – Norwich Door-to-Door Mobility Transport.

 The 59 Club was founded in 1959 as part of a Youth Club at the Eton Mission in Hackney. In 1962 it established a motorcycle section, led by two Church of England clergymen, keen motorcyclists. To mark the Club’s 60th anniversary they are organising a ’Ride Out’ to St Paul’s Cathedral on Saturday 4 May for a service at 5.00 pm. Riders from Norwich will meet at the Ace Café on Ace Corner, North Circular Road at Stonebridge, NW10 7UD, before leaving there for St Paul’s at 3.00 pm. Chris Coughlan, who will be going, can supply you with further information.

 The members of Chapel Field Road have been asked to manage the Refreshment Stall at Heigham Park for May Day celebrations, on Monday 6 May. If you’re able to provide any cakes it would be a great help. They must be labelled with the ingredients. Please leave them in the upstairs kitchen on Sunday 5 May. All proceeds from this event will go to local charities. Thank you for your support.

 If you have a key to the Church car park please see Michael Kellard as soon as possible to renew your permit and pay your annual fee of £46.00.
