From the Notices: 5th May 2019

 We are sad to hear of the sudden death of Cliff Cooper, who with Ann attended our morning services for many years. They were expert players at our Table Tennis Club. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. His funeral service will be held at Earlham Crematorium on Monday 3 June at 11.00 am.

 Our evening service next Sunday, 12 May at 6.30 pm, will be a service of baptism at Bowthorpe Road, including children and young people from this Church who are offering themselves for reception into the Methodist Church. They will welcome your support. Revd Debbie Caulk will conduct the service.

 Easter Offering envelopes are in the pews again today for your gifts.

 The members of Chapel Field Road have been asked to manage the Refreshment Stall at Heigham Park for the May Day celebrations tomorrow, Monday 6 May. If you have brought a cake it will be a great help; it must be labelled with the ingredients. Please leave it in the upstairs kitchen today. All proceeds from this event will go to local charities. Thank you.

 Christian Aid envelopes will be in the pews next Sunday, 12 May, for those of you who have not received an envelope through your letterbox.

 A service of music and devotions from Taizé, a peaceful sequence of chants, readings and silence, will be held next Sunday evening, 12 May, at 6.00 for 6.30 pm at All Saints Church, Postwick, NR13 5HL. All are welcome.

 A Probationers’ Testimony Service will be held at Bowthorpe Road on Wednesday 15 May at 7.00 pm for two probationers: Revd Cliff Shanganya and Revd Mary Sachikonye. Preacher: Revd Cleopas Sibanda. Refreshments follow.

 If you have a key to the Church car park please see Michael Kellard as soon as possible to renew your permit and pay your annual fee of £46.00.

 Two advance dates for Foundation Training in Safeguarding: Friday 7 June at 2.00 pm at Aylsham and Saturday 5 October at 10.00 am at Cromer. Please contact Helen Barnwell if you would like to attend on:

 The Stewards are inviting volunteers for the role of Part-time Support Stewards to assist the Lead Steward at the 10.30 service, no more than once a month. You would only be asked to do duties that you are comfortable with. It will greatly help our reduced team of four Stewards. Please see one of them.

 Please check with Terry Dunning that you are on the list of volunteer Bible readers and whether you would like to continue to do this.

 We’re invited to join with other churches in praying this week for St John Timberhill and St Julian and for Norwich City Football Club
