From the Notices: 12th May 2019

 We are sad to hear of the sudden death of Cliff Cooper, who with Anne attended our morning services for many years. They were expert players at our Table Tennis Club. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. His funeral service will be held at Earlham Crematorium on Monday 3 June at 11.00 am.

 Our evening service today at 6.30 pm will be a service of baptism at Bowthorpe Road, including children and young people from this Church who are offering themselves for reception into the Methodist Church. They will welcome your support. Revd Debbie Caulk will conduct the service.

 A service of music and devotions from Taizé, a peaceful sequence of chants, readings and silence, will be held this evening, 12 May, at 6.00 for 6.30 pm at All Saints Church, Postwick, NR13 5HL. All are welcome. Parking is available at the nearby Village Hall.

 Christian Aid Week is this week, 12 – 18 May. Envelopes and Climate Change Action cards are in the pews. Please see Christina Potter if you can spare some time to collect from house to house.

 A Probationers’ Testimony Service will be held at Bowthorpe Road this Wednesday, 15 May, at 7.00 pm for two probationers: Revd Cliff Shanganya and Revd Mary Sachikonye. Preacher: Revd Cleopas Sibanda. Refreshments follow.

 Our Annual Church Meeting is this Saturday, 18 May, at 7.00 pm, with an opportunity to chat over a hot meal, followed by a short business meeting. Please sign the list in the Church Centre TODAY to enable Pam to cater for the meal. Parking will be available in the school car park.

 Thanks to everyone who supported the Lenten Self Denial envelope appeal for the World Mission Fund. The total raised for mission overseas was £162.91.

 The May edition of Contact, our Church magazine, is out now. Items for the June edition should be with Pauline Mann by next Sunday, 19 May.

 If you have a key to the Church car park please see Michael Kellard as soon as possible to renew your permit and pay your annual fee of £46.00.

 Do drop in for the Cameo Coffee Morning between 10.00 am and 12.30 pm on Saturday 25 May. Enjoy a chat over tea, coffee and home-made cakes. Proceeds to Cameo’s chosen charity Norwich Door-to-Door Mobility Transport.

 If you’re turning out cupboards and drawers, don’t forget the Jumble Sale in September. Any good quality items that you can donate will be most welcome.

 The Stewards are inviting volunteers for the role of Part-time Support Stewards to assist the Lead Steward at the 10.30 service, no more than once a month. You would only be asked to do duties that you are comfortable with. It will greatly help our reduced team of four Stewards. Please see one of them.
