From the Notices: 19th May 2019

 We are sad to hear of the sudden death of Cliff Cooper, who with Anne attended our morning services for many years. They were expert players at our Table Tennis Club. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. His funeral service will be held at Earlham Crematorium on Monday 3 June at 11.00 am.

 A Service of Contemporary Praise will be held this evening at Hethersett Methodist Church at 6.30 pm with the theme Filled with the Spirit. The preacher will be Revd Matthew Olanrewaju.

 The May edition of Contact, our Church magazine, is out now. Do ask the Pew Stewards for your copy. Items for the June edition should be with Pauline Mann today.

 The Friends of Cromwell House are holding their Annual General Meeting this Tuesday, 21 May, at 7.00 for 7.30 pm. All are welcome to attend.

Do drop in for the Cameo Coffee Morning between 10.00 am and 12.30 pm on Saturday 25 May. Enjoy a chat over tea, coffee and home-made cakes. Proceeds will be donated to Cameo’s chosen charity Norwich Door-to-Door Mobility Transport.

 If you’re turning out your cupboards and drawers, don’t forget the Jumble Sale in September. Any good quality items that you can donate will be most welcome. This doesn’t include glass, electrical items or bedding.

 If you have a key to the Church car park please see Michael Kellard as soon as possible to renew your permit and pay your annual fee of £46.00.

 The Stewards are inviting volunteers for the role of Part-time Support Stewards to assist the Lead Steward at the 10.30 service, no more than once a month. You would only be asked to do duties that you are comfortable with. It will greatly help our reduced team of four Stewards. Please see one of them.

 Please check with Terry Dunning that you are on the list of volunteer Bible readers and whether you would like to continue to do this.

 We’re invited to join with other churches in praying this week for St Peter Mancroft and for City Hall and our Councillors

Awake, awake to love and work,
The lark is in the sky,
The fields are wet with diamond dew,
                                                                   The worlds awake to cry
Their blessings on the Lord of life,
                                                                    As he goes meekly by.
