Thanks to all of you who supported the Cromwell House Garden Party, which raised just over £700 for the Amenity Fund.
Thanks also to everyone who kindly donated to Methodist Homes through the envelopes recently. The total raised amounted to £149.22.
We look forward to holding our annual walk, tea and service at Morley Methodist Church on Sunday 18 August The walk commences at 3.00 pm followed by tea, which is provided by our friends at Morley, and then the service at 5.00 pm, led by Zing Eagling. To help with the organising of the walk and the catering please sign the list on the table in the Church Centre.
The Bible Comes to Life at St Stephen’s Church on 15 – 18 August from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm, and at the 10.00 am Service on 18 August. It’s an immersive learning experience which helps us to understand the Jewish culture in which Jesus lived. Do look in on your way to or from the city, you’ll enjoy it.
Once again we shall be taking part in the annual Norfolk Churches Trust Sponsored Cycle Ride and Walk, which encourages people to visit historic churches in around the city. The event will be on Saturday 14 September, between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm. Half of the proceeds are donated to the Trust; our half will be given to our Overseas Mission Project. Sponsorship forms and details are available from Sandra Brown.
Revd Richard Kyaira and his family will be living in the manse in Colindeep Lane, Sprowston, when they arrive in this country. The Circuit needs to furnish the house for them. A list of items which are still needed is on the notice board in the Church Centre. If you can supply any of them please let Pauline Mann know. Transport can be arranged. Thank you.
Don’t forget that there’s a Church Jumble Sale in September. Any good quality items that you can donate will be most welcome. This doesn’t include glass, electrical items or bedding.
