From the Notices: 10th November 2019

 We continue to mourn the death of Ruth Levett, who passed away peacefully at Cromwell House. Her funeral service will be held at Chapel Field Road this Friday, 15 November, at 1.00 pm. We hold her family and the residents of Cromwell House in our thoughts and prayers.

 A service of music and devotions from Taizé, a peaceful sequence of chants, readings and silence, will be held this evening, 10 November, at 5.45 for 6.00 pm in Norwich Cathedral. Entry is by the South transept door. Parking is available adjacent to the cloisters. All will be welcome at this service.

 This Tuesday, 12 November, at 7.30 pm the Sillars Windband will present a Memorial Concert in honour of their founder, Ralph Dye, at Ipswich Road United Reformed Church. Entrance free; a collection for St Luke’s Leprosarium, India.

 Cameo will meet this Thursday, 14 November, at 7.30 pm when Julian Bryant will present Christian Aid update – Ethiopia. There will also be a Bring and Buy stall in support of Christian Aid.

 Items for the December edition of Contact, our Church magazine, should be with Pauline Mann by next Sunday, 17 November.

 A Service of Contemporary Praise will be held at Hethersett Methodist Church next Sunday, 17 November, at 6.30 pm when the theme will be ‘Remembering’. The preacher will be Revd Steve Cullis.

 Christmas Craft Fayre, 23 November, 10.30 am to 3.30 pm. Please see the notice in Contact, page 8 . We would like volunteers to help with serving tea and coffee as well as non-alcoholic Christmas punch, and offers of cakes or mince pies. Contact Zing Eagling.

 St Martin’s Housing Trust is asking for volunteers to help with their Christmas street collection from 2 – 24 December. Today is the last chance for you to enter your details on a list in the Church Centre.

 We’re invited to join with other churches in praying this week for St Mary in the Marsh, and for the Forum, and all that goes on there.

Lord, strengthen our hearts, hands and minds, to work for peace: to see you in one another and to seek your kingdom above all things; that your will may be seen to be done and your kingdom come, through Jesus Christ, the Lord of Lords and King of Kings. Let us seek justice, love mercy and walk humbly with our God. Amen.
