From the Notices: 24th November 2019

 We are sad to hear of the death on Tuesday at Cromwell House of Audrey Edwards, for many years a faithful and active member of Chapel Field Road. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

 Please order your Daily Bible Reading Booklets for next year from Margaret Snelling today, 24 November, at the latest.

 Cameo this Thursday at 7.30 pm will be rehearsing the programme which
they will be presenting at Cromwell House on 12 December.

 We are grateful to have had an offer to cook lunch on Christmas Day for those guests who wish to come to Chapel Field Road; they may also want to attend the service beforehand too. We need to ensure that we have enough drivers to bring them, and also take them home again later in the day. Please consider whether you could help, either on the morning of Christmas Day or in the evening, at around 5.00 pm. Stephen Osborn will be glad to hear from you, either in person or on 01603 426189.

 A Celebration for Christmas: for our Gift Service on 15 December we are invited to bring items for St Martin’s Housing Trust for their Christmas Dinner for 60 residents in their hostels for the homeless in Norwich. Please look at the chart at the front of the Church, select which items you will bring at that service and tick the relevant box. Pam will be there to help.

 Please note that items for the January 2020 edition of Contact, our Church magazine, should be with Pauline Mann by 15 December.

 Thanks to everyone who helped the residents of Cromwell House to raise the wonderful total of £337.20 for their Amenity Fund.

 Please note that there is an error on the Circuit Plan for Chapel Field Road. Our services on 12 January 2020 are designated as Covenant Services, at which we renew our covenant with God. However, following our new custom we celebrated this in September 2019.

 You will have noticed the appeal in Contact for helpers at our weekly Saturday Coffee Morning, who would be on a rota which currently means being on duty once in five weeks. At least three new helpers are required. If you can help please have a word with Robert Girling as soon as possible, so that you can be included on the rota for 2020.

 Thanks to those of you who serve the tea and coffee after our morning services and all of you who make a donation for your cup of tea or coffee. The money collected goes to help the work of JMA, the Junior Mission for All, which supports mission projects around the world.

 We’re invited to join with other churches in praying this week for St Stephen’s, and for the Fire Service in our city.

Please give items for the Notices to Paul Binney by Wednesday Telephone: 01603 811786; email:
