Friends will be sad to hear of the death recently of Sheila Drew at St Martin’s MHA home. She was a member at Hethersett Methodist Church and a very active Local Preacher. There will be a celebration of Sheila’s life at Hethersett Methodist Church on Friday 10 January at 1.00 pm.
We look forward to our Church Family New Year Celebration Party, including a Bring and Share supper, organised by Cameo this Thursday, 9 January, at 7.30 pm. Do come, and bring your friends.

There are still some Christian Aid Christmas Appeal envelopes in the pews. This year’s focus is on mothers in India who are determined and resourceful. With your help they could use their God-given talents to build new lives for themselves and their families. Thanks to your generosity the current total stands at £765.97.
We’re also pleased to hear that from the sale of Daniel Tink’s cards recently £5.25 has been given to the special Kenyan HIV Project
A big thank you to everyone who collected in the streets this Christmas for St Martin’s Housing Trust. The grand total raised was a record £39,800, which will enable practical help and support to be given to those who need it most in the city, by way of shelter and accommodation.
St Martin’s Housing Trust have written to us expressing their gratitude for the Christmas Gifts we donated and the final total of £140, stating that our support means a great deal to them.
Meet – Share – Create will resume on Wednesday 15 January at 10.00 am and will meet fortnightly after that. All are welcome to join in.

Chain of Prayer for Christian Unity on Thursday 23 January in St Luke’s Chapel, Norwich Cathedral, from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. All are welcome at any time. Our church will be leading the prayers from 12.45 to 1.00pm. Please join us.
On Thursday 16 January at 7.30 pm there will be a meeting at Chapel Field Road to discuss God in Love Unites Us, the Methodist Conference report on Marriage and Relationships. Every church has been asked to discuss all the issues and each person’s views will be fed back to the District Synod. The main areas of change are consideration of same sex relationships and marriage. Copies of the Study Guide are available at each entrance of the Church.
We’re invited to join with other churches in praying this week for our own Church, here at Chapel Field Road, and for the shopping world of our city.
