From the Notices: 26th January 2020

We are sad to hear of the death of Janet Finnemore, a faithful member of our Church. We hold David, her husband and Nigel and Peter, her sons, in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. A Service of Thanksgiving for her life will be held at Chapel Field Road on Friday 7 February at 11.00 am, followed by refreshments.

The January edition of Contact, our Church magazine, is out now. Do ask the Pew Stewards for your copy.

St Martin’s Housing Trust have written to us expressing their gratitude for the practical Christmas Gifts we donated and the final total of £140, emphasising that our support means a great deal to them.

With the addition of some late gifts to Christian Aid, we are delighted to hear that the grand total now amounts to £966.97. Thank you for your generous donations in the envelopes and through the Church Christmas card.

We’re invited to join with other churches in praying this week for Norwich Central Baptists, and for the nightclubs in our city.

The Norwich Foodbank

Your regular gifts for the Norwich Foodbank are delivered to the warehouse each week and are very gratefully received. Our weekly shopping list highlights items which are in short supply but any gifts are welcome. Thank you for your continued help, which is noted and appreciated by the organisers.

Foodbank Prayer

God of faithfulness, your generous love supplies us with all that we need. We know that all we have is yours. We celebrate the work that you have done in Norwich and Norfolk through Foodbank by means of the generous support of many people. Through the Foodbank we are able to offer food to the hungry, a drink to the thirsty and compassion to the strangers in our city and county.

Accept our offering of worship and service. May your Spirit empower us to be your hands and feet in our community as we continue to serve those in crisis. Bless all those who give and receive. Increase the capacity of Foodbank and help us to supply the food to those who need it most. Amen.

Please give itwems for the Notices to Paul Binney by Wednesday.
